The Gophers have just dialed up dark gray or anthracite (minus helmet) uniforms for this Halloween's tilt vs. Michigan. Anthracite is mineral coal mined mostly in the friendly countries of China, Russia, North Korea, Ukraine, and South Africa. I'm aware that the Gophers have trying to come up with a black uniform for a while now, so I'm very relieved with the color of the uni. I think these uniforms look great, for Halloween only that is. As an old fashioned uni guy, I prefer to keep with the traditional maroon and gold. Kim Jung-Ill gives them two thumbs up though, and rumor is, anyone who purchased an anthracite jersey from Gold Country by Christmas gets two round-trip tickets to Pyongyang (with a free lump of coal). It will be interesting going forward how often these unis are used.
